by Darryl Cater Danny Elfman rearranges a handful of the notes from his otherwise identical Batman score. That proves to be enough to make this one considerably less melodically coherent. The highlight of the record comes when Elfman stops plagiarizing his own work long enough to plagiarize John Williams' classic barroom jazz from the cantina scene in Star Wars (on "Crime Spree"). Of the three CDs Warner Brothers released to cash in on this summer blockbuster, this is not the worst (that would be the collection of pop songs that didn't appear in the movie) or the best ( Madonna's recordings of Stephen Sondheim's original songs), but it is the most laughable. 更多>>
